Marshall County:
The Marshall County Health Department has received confirmation of 23 new positive cases and 11 new probable cases. The Health Department continues to work on investigations and contact tracing for current active cases.
This brings Marshall County to a total of 2263 confirmed cases and 608 probable cases, 431 of which are in isolation at home, 7 hospitalized, 60 associated deaths and 2373 whom have been released from isolation.
Everyone can assist in stopping this rapid increase of cases by wearing masks when in public, maintaining social distance and avoiding large scale events.

Ohio County:
The Wheeling-Ohio County Health Department is announcing one (1) COVID-19 associated death for 2/8/21.
Wheeling-Ohio County Health Department is announcing ten (10) new cases of COVID-19 in Ohio County for 2/8/21. Currently, the health department reports a total of 3638 cases, including sixty-four (64) deaths. Case surveillance, contact tracing, and monitoring continue for many of the reported cases. During the community testing today (2/8/21) the health department performed 67 COVID-19 tests on Ohio Valley residents.
Starting Monday, February 8th, and running until February 12th, the Wheeling-Ohio County Health Department will hold a free COVID-19 testing clinic at the following location:

The free clinics are for those with or without symptoms and no insurance is needed. Participants need to bring a driver’s license, photo ID or other proof of address. No residency restrictions. Patients under 18 years of age must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. This is a drive-up testing clinic and participants will be tested either in their personal vehicles or at a walk-up location near the testing sites. This special clinic is being hosted by the Wheeling-Ohio County Health Department and the Wheeling-Ohio County Emergency Management Agency. Starting Monday, February 1st the Wheeling-Ohio County Health Department will begin to move all vaccination efforts to a community vaccination center. This community vaccination center will be utilized by the health department and other healthcare partners for future vaccinations. Appointments are necessary for all COVID-19 vaccinations. The COVID-19 community vaccination center at the Highlands will be located in the old Michaels Craft Store/Spirit Halloween Store. The address is 550 Cabela Drive, Triadelphia, West Virginia 26059.
February 8-12, 2021 COVID-19 Vaccination Clinics
2/8/21 – Higher Education 1st dose, by appointment. Moderna2/9/21 – 80yrs+ 2nd dose, by appointment (from 1st dose COVID-19 vaccinations on 1/10/21 and 1/11/21). Moderna2/10/21 – Higher Education 2nd doses (some 1st), by appointment, Moderna.2/11/21 – 65yrs+ 1st dose, by appointment (names from WV COVID-19 Vaccine Registration System).
Pfizer2/12/21 – 80yrs+ 2nd dose, by appointment (from 1st dose COVID-19 vaccinations on 1/12/21, 1/13/21 and 1/14/21). Moderna.
Later in the week health department staff will call individuals who were vaccinated during the January 15, 16, 18, and 19, 2021 COVID-19 Vaccination Clinics for 80yrs+ that were held at the health department. All vaccination appointments and events are held at the Community Vaccination Center at the Highlands.
All West Virginians over the age of 16 are encouraged to pre-register through the West Virginia COVID-19 Vaccine Registration System. Pre-registration offers West Virginians the opportunity to receive real-time updates on vaccine availability and schedule an appointment when available as vaccine supplies allow.
