I occasionally have to head to Guernsey County to cover sports for the Daily Jeffersonian in Cambridge. I’ve been covering sports in the valley off and on since 2000,but only recently began exploring the western reaches of the Ohio Valley Athletic Conference more thoroughly.

The benefit to that is the fertile and undiscovered food territories that come along with it. They are known to plenty, but being that I grew up in Wheeling and live in St. Clairsville, I was not aware of all the tasty options.

For instance, as a lifelong Home Pizza fan, I was saddened when it closed. But, around the same time, I discovered Wally’s Pizza; first in New Concord and Cambridge and now in St. Clairsville.

It’s with that spirit that I search for great places to eat and enjoy sharing with you all what I find. Today, that search led me to enjoy what dare I say is the best burger in the Ohio Valley. I could be wrong, but I’ve had quite a few and this place is a cut above.

That place is 360 Burger in Cambridge. Located on U.S. 22 at 11201 Cadiz Road just east of Cambridge, 360 Burger is open Wednesday through Sunday 11 a.m. until 8 p.m.

We stopped on a Friday night on the way to a football game, and with both Buckeye Trail, Cambridge, and Meadowbrook all at home that particular Friday, the parking lot was packed, and the place was hopping.

What sets 360 apart, aside from the taste, is the attention to detail and freshness and quality of its ingredients. Everything served at 360 is sourced locally, included cattle raised by the owners.

Executive Chef Steve Wagner opened 360 in 2017 and the popularity of the restaurant has only grown since.

The Food

I’d heard multiple people rave about the burgers here, so that’s what we both decided to get.

We each ordered the 360 Burger, which comes with cheese, lettuce, tomato, and 360 sauce. I couldn’t place the 360 sauce entirely, but it reminds you of yum yum sauce from Japanese-style hibachi restaurants. There were subtle differences though which we both enjoyed.

We opted for burgers sans lettuce and tomato, but added bacon. You can get the burgers as a double, which we both opted to do.

We also decided to share an order of cheese fries, which is a “generous” helping of natural-cut fries topped with a house-blended cheese sauce.

It’s a good thing we decided to share, as generous was a bit of an understatement as the portion of fries we received was massive. And the cheese sauce drizzled on the fries was amazing to put it plainly.

The burgers had a rich flavor, far superior to your average serving at most restaurants. You certainly could taste the difference.

360 Burger also serves hand spun milkshakes, both with or without alcohol—yes, they have beer too—and while I just ordered a soda, she decided to try an alcohol free root beer float.

She offered me a taste of the float, and the rich, creamy flavor of the ice cream mixed with the root beer was quite tasty. I nearly wished I’d ordered one myself, and I’m not a huge fan of root beer. It was that good.

Safe to say, 360 Burger is now on our list of repeat stops whenever we’re in Guernsey County or simply passing through.

I may make a special trip there now and again. It’s that good. I thoroughly recommend you giving it a shot.
