Wheeling Symphony Orchestra (WSO) announces three pop-up concert performances by our WSO on the GO Brass Ensemble for the 4th of July. Concerts will take place on July 4th throughout Wheeling at the following times and locations: 11:00 am at Garden Park in Warwood; 12:15 pm at Dimmeydale Park in Dimmeydale; and 1:30 pm at Bridge Park on Wheeling Island. Each performance will last 30 minutes and is free and open to the public.

The WSO on the GO ensemble features musicians Jason Allison (horn), Matthew Deihl (trumpet), Chad Winkler (trumpet), Anthony Weikel (trombone), and Phil VanOuse (tuba). The performances will be structured to allow for appropriate social distancing and other safety measures. Attendees are encouraged to wear face coverings and to maintain social distancing.

“Because we couldn’t do our typical 4th of July celebration at the Heritage Port, we knew we wanted to perform for the community if the guidelines would allow,” says General Manager Bryan Braunlich. “We are so excited that our brass ensemble will be popping-up throughout Wheeling, playing some wonderful patriotic music. We encourage everyone to support the WSO and our musicians, and we ask that you follow the recommended guidelines by wearing masks and maintaining social distancing from your fellow music lovers.”

Because of the generous support of our sponsors and donors, including title sponsor McKinley Carter Wealth Services, all WSO on the GO concerts will be free to the public to entice and encourage new audiences to become long-time supporters. More information is available at wheelingsymphony.com.
