“As a precaution, McNinch Primary School and Sherrard Middle School will be closed for in-person instruction beginning Monday, September 14, 2020 until Monday, September 28, 2020 because a staff member at each location has tested positive for COVID-19. Students will participate via distance learning. The number of students exposed to these staff members is extremely limited and each of those families has been directly contacted. All other Marshall County schools will continue to follow Level 3.”

According to Shelby Haines, the superintendent of Marshall County Schools, the school system’s administrators have released this information via an all-call, on social media, and to local media members. Haines said other staff members do not have to be tested at this time.
