Starting this week, February 8, 2021, notifications of COVID-19 vaccine appointments for eligible populations (those age 65 and older and some healthcare workers) in Marshall County will be handled through the West Virginia Vaccine Registration System. Vaccine doses are limited. Those who qualify will receive an automated text message, phone call, and/or email from the system informing you of the date, time, and location of available appointments.
When notified via text, phone call, and/or email by the system, you may accept the scheduled appointment or decline due to schedule conflicts, availability issues, etc.
If you accept your appointment, you will receive a confirmation notification with your full appointment details, again via text, phone call, and/or email. If you are unavailable for the appointment, your name will automatically stay in the registration system, and you will be notified when new appointments become available. You will not lose your place in line or priority for the next available appointment.
If you do not wish to receive these automated notifications, you may opt out of receiving them. However, opting out of this system will eliminate your opportunity to schedule a COVID-19 vaccine appointment in West Virginia. You may always opt back into the system at a later time by calling the statewide Vaccine Info Line at 1-833-734-0965 at your convenience.
