Dear Will:

There were two outs!

You were two feet away from the first base bag, too. But you let Javier Baez play you and, as you know, all the media in the world has covered THE PLAY. In fact, some members of the Pittsburgh media have labeled it the worst in Pirates history … if you can believe that considering the last 25 years of Pirates history

Yes, you were a third baseman and a pitcher at Wake Forest, but the premise has always been the same, right? Three outs per the top and bottom halves of each inning? The team that scores the most runs wins? We just wanted to make sure, and we know that you have referred to it as, “Baseball 101,” and that you, “lost your mind.”

It happens. We get it. Truly.

But dude, THERE WERE TWO OUTS!

Sincerely,

A Once-Again-Ridiculed Fan Base

P.S. And we’re tired of it.
