Guests: Scott Porter, Bill Schmidt Jr.
Neffs resident Scott Porter remembers the Wegee Creek Flood very clearly because of the death and devastation it caused after more than five inches of rain fell in Shadyside on June 14, 1990. Porter, in fact, has constantly reminded residents throughout the Upper Ohio Valley to keep debris to a minimum along local waterways because of the role old appliances, automobiles, and used tires played in the tragic flooding.
Scott and I also will discuss what economic development is currently taking place on both sides of the Ohio River, and what projects may soon take place in the region.
Bill Schmidt Jr. has been working hard to spread the word about the decriminalization of cannabis in several communities in eastern Ohio, and we’ll get an update from him this afternoon. Are people agreeing with him? Are they telling him to get lost? Is Schmidt changing their minds?
We’ll discuss those reactions, the communities where he’s been campaigning, and what he expects when election day comes around in those areas.
