An OPEN LETTER to … OVRTA Bus Drivers in Wheeling

OVRTA Bus Drivers:

We wish to thank you for your commitment to the service you offer local residents, and we’re sure, because you were to offer transportation to grocery stores, doctor’s offices, and to the hospital that you have, in some way, saved lives.

But please reduce your speed in residential neighborhoods. We appreciate your efforts to stay true to the schedule you’ve been assigned to, but we care about the children and the elderly in our neighborhoods much, much more. And remember now, our city’s leaders desperately are trying to make Wheeling a more “walkable” municipality.

We would appreciate your cooperation.

Sincerely,

The Slow Your Roll Society
