WVNCC Wants Public Votes on 1970’s Outdoor Movie

As part of its 50th anniversary celebration, West Virginia Northern Community College (WVNCC), is inviting community members to vote on a 1970’s movie that will be shown this spring on their Wheeling campus. Anyone can vote for one of six movie titles. Movie titles include: “Jaws,” “Rocky,” “King Kong,” “Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory,” “Superman,” and “Grease.”

The movie with the most votes after April 1, will be shown on the outdoor plaza of the B&O Building on May 6. During the free showing, the College will also serve 1970’s themed snacks. Voting is currently underway at www.wvncc.edu. The link for voting can be found under Northern’s events calendar.

“Our community has been such an integral part of Northern’s success, so we wanted to give everyone a chance to participate in the celebration of our 50th anniversary,” commented WVNCC President Dr. Daniel Mosser. “This is just one of the many ways we our giving back to the community during this milestone and celebration.”
