An OPEN LETTER to … the Gin Blossoms …

-

To: Bill Leen, Jesse Valenzuela, Robin Wilson, Scotty Johnson, and Scott Hessel:

At the end of last evening’s show, you should have offered the crowd an extra encore, and here is why: Your presence at Camp Russell in Oglebay Park represents an important step taken by decision-makers who believe in the future of this region of the country.

It is true the Upper Ohio Valley has been losing population for decades, but for the first time there are a number of people fighting back in an effort to grow jobs and retain and add residents by creating new reasons to live here. You all, on that temporary stage that will be gone in 24 hours, exemplify one of them.

Sincerely,

Those with Hope

  1. A project like Discover Wheeling would do more to help Wheeling grow jobs and retain and add residents by creating new reasons to live here than an extra encore by The Gin Blossoms.

Happy to tell you more about my idea.
