Wheeling’s historic Capitol Theatre has been busy recently with events such as The Bored Teachers Comedy Tour and multiple dance recitals. The lights at the Capitol Theatre will continue to shine with a trio of new shows being announced for upcoming months. 1964 The Tribute, The Rocky Horror Picture Show 48th Anniversary Spectacular Tour, and Nutcracker! Magical Christmas Ballet was all announced, with more shows to be announced soon.

“We are continuing to see and feel the momentum around new artists and entertainment in downtown Wheeling. The Capitol Theatre is the perfect facility to venture into different genres of music and entertainment,” said Kelly Tucker, Executive Director of the Capitol Theatre & WesBanco Arena. “We want to provide shows that are diverse and appease the tastes of everyone in the community while allowing us to bring visitors into the area.”

1964 The Tribute will perform at the Capitol Theatre on Saturday, September 23, 2023, at 7 p.m. When The Beatles actually played before a live audience, it was a quintessential moment in history. 1964 The Tribute focuses on that moment. “1964” meticulously re-creates the magic of those live Beatles’ performances with artful precision and unerring accuracy.

The Rocky Horror Picture Show 48th Anniversary Spectacular Tour will be held at the Capitol Theatre on October 8th at 7 pm. Join the original “Magenta”, Patricia Quinn, for a screening of the original unedited movie with live shadow cast and audience participation! Plus a costume contest, and more! Exclusive tickets to the V.I.P. Meet & Greet to meet Patricia Quinn herself are available to have a personal photo opportunity & get an autograph.

Nutcracker! Magical Christmas Ballet is back at the Capitol Theatre on November 27, 2023 at 7 pm. The warm-glow-nostalgia of America’s favorite Christmas celebration returns to Wheeling! Experience the extraordinary international cast and Ukrainian Principal Artists performing at the peak of classical European Ballet. Be transported by the magic of jaw-dropping acrobatics, larger-than-life puppets and stunning handcrafted sets and costumes.
