West Liberty University Physician Assistant Graduates Receive 100% Pass Rate on Certifying Examination

The 2023 West Liberty University Physician Assistant graduates have achieved a 100% first time pass rate on the physician assistant national certifying examination known as PANCE.

This marks the third consecutive year that a West Liberty University PA Class has earned a 100% pass rate.

The PANCE exam is a nationally required test that assesses medical and surgical knowledge to become a certified physician assistant.

“We congratulate the PA Class of 2023 on their 100% PANCE pass rate, which showcases their dedication and learning over the last two years. This achievement is also a testament to the outstanding learning environment provided by the faculty, staff, preceptors, adjuncts, and guest lecturers of the WLU PA program as well as the support of the University and the local healthcare community.” says Program Director, Sarah Brammer, MSPAS, PA-C

West Liberty University President, Dr. Tim Borchers, adds, “The consistently strong pass rate of the West Liberty Physician Assistant students reflects the high quality of the academic programs at the University. The 2023 PA Class is the 10th class to graduate from the program since it began in 2012. West Liberty University’s Master’s in Physician Assistant Studies Degree Program is a 24-month, year-round course of studies that begins each year in July. Fully accredited by the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant, it includes one year of didactic, in-classroom work, and a second year of clinical rotations under the supervision of licensed clinical preceptors. Featuring a small class size of 18 students, the WLU PA program focuses on training compassionate, competent professionals to serve as integral members of the collaborative healthcare team.
