Following the success of its recent Independence Day Fun Festival and August Fun Festival, Wheeling Island Hotel-Casino-Racetrack is excited to announce a third and final end-of-summer event set to take place Friday, Sept. 27, and Saturday, Sept 28.
The family-friendly, two-day fun festival is open to the public and features an array of activities, live music, delicious food and more. The festival is sponsored by Pepsi, Bud Light and Panhandle Cleaning & Restoration.
“Hosting this festival is our way of bringing the community together one last time for a day of fun and entertainment,” said Kimberly Florence, president and general manager of Wheeling Island Hotel-Casino-Racetrack. “We had an incredible turnout for our first two festivals and are thrilled to build on that success with even more activities and excitement. We look forward to welcoming everyone.”
Event Highlights:
- Times & Dates: Friday, Sept. 27, from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m., and Saturday, Sept. 28, from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.
- Food Trucks: Indulge in a culinary adventure with over 10 food trucks offering a diverse selection of dishes from local favorites to classic American items.
- Fun Activities for All Ages: Enjoy a day packed with FREE carnival games, interactive experiences and entertainment suitable for all ages.
- Local Vendors: Discover offerings from various local vendors showcasing their crafts and products.
- Live Music: Get ready to groove to the sounds of FREE live music featuring an exciting lineup that includes national acts:

- Beer Gardens: Relax and unwind at our Bud Light beer gardens while enjoying the festivities.
- Live Racing: Experience the thrill of live racing starting at 1 p.m. each day, where guests can place bets and cheer for their favorites.
- Free Admission: The public can enjoy all the festivities with no entry fee, rain or shine. It’s Wheeling Island Hotel-Casino-Racetrack’s way of again thanking the community for their support.
