“They” make it happen. All of it.

The cakes and music and lights and food and photos and the decorations and, well, the rest of it. “They” are the members of the West Virginia Event Pros, a group of professionals who cater, decorate, entertain, photograph, chauffeur, design, and arrange travel for residents from throughout the Upper Ohio Valley.

This Sunday, the Event Pros are inviting interested individuals and families to join them at Epworth Park, a historic community in Bethesda, Ohio, that dates back to the late 1800s.

“We’ll have businesses with services that can make anyone’s event a little extra special, and that includes birthdays, showers, and especially weddings,” Gilson explained. “Planners, DJs, caterers, decorators, photography … a little bit of everything will be at Epworth Park this Sunday to talk to everyone who comes out.

West Virginia Event Pros is expanding into the state of Ohio and we wanted to introduce a lot of these services to a bigger audience of people who are planning for a big gathering of some kind,” she said. “Plus, everyone who attends will discover Epworth Park, a place I believe is a hidden gem in Belmont County.”

The event is scheduled to begin at 2 p.m. and last only two hours, but during those 120 minutes, raffles will take place, free sweets and treats will be available, and a grand prize will be given away at the end.

Epworth Park dates back to the late 1800s and still rests today as a peaceful community.

“It’s going to be fast-paced, and a lot of fun, and professional all at the same time, and that’s because the members of Event Pros love doing what we do. It’s really important to all of us to make our clients as pleased as possible,” Gilson said. “Our big philosophy is supporting our small businesses and supporting our community.

“There will be people of all ages who attend, especially since local homecoming dances will be taking place along with a lot of weddings in October. Everyone who comes will be given a ticket that gets them into all of the drawings,” she explained. “If people go to our website and register, they’ll get 10 more drawing tickets for the grand prize that will be worth more than $1,000.”

A variety of venues are available in the region, and Gilson appreciates the diversity there is with he destinations.

“Epworth Park is another place where events can take place,” Gilson said. “One thing I’ve always loved about the Wheeling area is that we have a little bit of everything when to come venues for events. We have our local parks like Oglebay and Wheeling, but we also have the Highlands Sports Complex and many others for a lot of different events.

“We’ll also have an all-occasions fashion show that’s going to feature prom and wedding dresses, and we’re going to have giveaways every 20 minutes,” she said. “I know the first prize we’ll give  away will be a $500 photography package, so be sure to be on time because there will be a lot of prizes during the two hours we’re there.”

Epworth Park is located a little more than 20 miles west of Wheeling along Interstate 70 until the Ohio 149 South/Morristown exit.

“Those who coming to the event should just follow our signs to get inside Epworth Park, and then there will signs on the way to the pavilion and the parking,” Gilson said. “One thing with our Event Pros group is that we love to be unique and we loved to work together so our events are the best they can be. We’re a team and we all have the same philosophy.

“Sunday’s gathering is going to be a lot of fun for all of us, and the grand prize will be worth the trip to Epworth,” he added. “It’s about making someone’s special day a memory they’ll never forget. That’s what we do best.”
