In the early morning of December 30, 2024, the Marshall County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a side-by-side theft from the EQT ClearFork Midstream Processing Facility located at 2316 New Bethel Road outside of Cameron, WV.

Deputies responded to the plant and gathered information and evidence about the theft. They were able to obtain surveillance camera footage of the theft. The stolen vehicle’s information and description were placed into NCIC (a nationwide database) as a stolen vehicle, and investigators began following leads and evidence regarding the theft.

Through the course of the investigation, detectives were able to obtain the identification of the suspect observed on video entering the side-by-side and subsequently driving it off the EQT property.

This is the side-by-side that was stolen from the EQT ClearFork Midstream Processing Facility located at 2316 New Bethel Road outside of Cameron, WV.

Patrol deputies and detectives began interviewing suspects and possible witnesses as part of the investigation and eventually were able to obtain a positive identification of the male seen on video. The suspect is Robert Andrew “Bird” Anderson, whose last known address is Cameron, WV. A Criminal Complaint was authored, and an arrest warrant was issued for Mr. Anderson on January 07, 2025.

On January 21, 2025, Mr. Anderson was located by the Moundsville Police Department, and the arrest warrant was executed. Mr. Anderson is charged with Grand Larceny and was arraigned by Marshall County Magistrate Kevin Cecil with a bond set at $5,000. The stolen side-by-side was also located on the same day and was found to be in working order. This arrest would not have been possible without the assistance of the public through tips and information, and the diligent work of the patrol deputies, detectives, the Marshall County Drug Taskforce, and the Moundsville Police Department. It is important to remember that all suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
