The Sheriff’s Office has been exceptionally busy this month, not only responding to calls for service but also increasing self-initiated proactive policing activities. This month, the total number of calls reached 1,218, marking a remarkable 52% increase from last year’s total of 774 calls. 

 Key self-initiated call types that have seen significant increases in January include: 

 – Security Checks: 538 in January 2025 compared to 206 in January 2024 

– Traffic Stops: 97 in January 2025 compared to 38 in January 2024
