Search team members have discovered a seventh victim of the flash flooding that took place in Ohio County Saturday evening.
Connie Veronis, wife of 74-year-old Michael Veronis of Moundsville, was discovered during the early morning hours today. Six deceased individuals have been discovered and recovered this week, including:

SEARCH AND RECOVERY EFFORTS:
Search and recovery teams resumed operations at 8:30 a.m. today (Tuesday, June 17) at the unified command center in Riesbeck’s parking lot in Elm Grove. Swift water rescue teams will continue to remove vehicles from Little and Big Wheeling Creeks and continue searching for missing individuals in both creeks and the Ohio River.
CASUALTY REPORT/ MISSING PERSONS
A 7th victim has been located and identified as Connie Veronis, 71, Moundsville, WV

When calling, be prepared to provide the missing person’s name, age, last known location, and a call-back number for the person making the report.
CITY OF WHEELING CLEAN UP INFORMATION:
City of Wheeling Operations will be cleaning mud and debris from various streets in the Elm Grove Area, including Lumber Ave, Cadillac Ave, Packard Ave, the Forest Hills area, Hawthorne Court area, Park Road/Orchard Road in Woodsdale. WVDOH continues to clear debris from various state roadways, especially National Road through Triadelphia / Valley Grove.
Flood debris for city residents should be left in front of their homes for sanitation and operation workers to pick up.
TETANUS SHOTS:
Shots will be distributed at three locations until 4 p.m. today. No registration is required. Proof of a West Virginia ID is needed. The health department can be reached at 304-234-3682.

From 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., those impacted by flooding can pick up various supplies – water, cleaning supplies, non-perishable food, paper products, clothes, animal food, etc. – at two locations. If people need assistance getting supplies delivered, please call 304-234-7109. Large Bulk items should be dropped off at WesBanco Arena (8am-4pm).

POWER RESORATION
Appalachian Power is working to restore power to hundreds of homes in the Triadelphia/Valley Grove area. Several utility poles were damaged, as well as a substation. A mobile substation has been set up to provide power to those who can receive it in the town of Triadelphia. Information on the restoration efforts can be found at AppalachianPower.com.
