Ohio County, W.Va. – Both lanes of Interstate 70 westbound, near the Wheeling Tunnel, will have intermittent closures, and the WV 2 northbound on-ramp to Interstate 70 westbound, will be closed, from 7:30 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., on Wednesday, August 13, 2025, for tunnel maintenance.
Motorists are advised to use an alternate route and to slow down and expect delays.
Alternate Route: Use US 40 or Interstate 470 to WV 2.
Inclement weather or unforeseen circumstances could change the project schedule.
