The Linsly School is pleased to announce that Kelvin Goodwin has been named interim head coach of the boys’ basketball program.
Coach Goodwin has served as an assistant coach at Linsly for the past six seasons, working under former head coach Dave Wojcik and alongside long-time assistant Dave Kohler. Coach Wojcik recently accepted a position as an assistant coach at The University of the Incarnate Word, returning to the college coaching ranks after guiding the Cadets to several strong seasons.
“After discussing our options and listening to our student-athletes, it became clear that they were excited about the opportunity to have Coach Goodwin lead them this season,” said Justin Zimmerman, Head of School. “He has built strong relationships with our players, understands our program’s goals, and is deeply respected by our students.”
A former collegiate standout, Coach Goodwin brings passion, experience, and a strong commitment to player development. He is working closely with Athletic Director BJ Depew to finalize his coaching staff and prepare for the upcoming season. As the team prepares for what promises to be one of the toughest schedules in recent years, Mr. Depew and Coach Goodwin will strive to assemble a staff that will emphasize development across both the JV and varsity levels.
The Linsly basketball program has continued to grow in recent years, competing against top regional opponents and helping student-athletes pursue opportunities at the collegiate level. Under Coach Goodwin’s leadership, that tradition of excellence and development will continue.
