An OPEN LETTER to … Those Receiving Overdose Warnings …

To the Registered:

Another text was sent this morning at 6:36 a.m.:

“WPD Crime Analysis: Possible overdose trend/spike, Wheeling area. Narcan available at Health Dept. between 9-4, M-F Phone (304) 234-3682

Please share the info on social media.

The police department distributes that information when a “bad batch” is being trafficked and police officers have been called to several scenes where overdoses have taken place. Local leaders have reported the majority of drug overdoses are caused by fentanyl these days because drug dealers are trying to have the “hottest hits.”

This is not political. This is about life or death. No one is asking you to administer Narcan, only to spread the word about the “bad batch” so the warnings reach the addicts somehow. The collateral damage and ripple effects of this never-ending drug epidemic have twisted and altered our society, and these days far too many children are growing without their mothers and fathers.

We all hate it. We all want it to end. The very least you can do is share the warnings, so maybe you can help save a life.

Thanks in advance.

Sincerely,

The Impacted
