Marshall County Authorities Apprehend Fugitive Brandon Cable

MOUNDSVILLE, WV — Sheriff Mike Dougherty announced today that deputies with the Marshall County Sheriff’s Office, in coordination with members of the Marshall County Drug Task Force, successfully apprehended 31-year-old Brandon Cable following a two-month search.

Mr. Cable has been the subject of an intensive investigation and was wanted on multiple felony and misdemeanor warrants. The charges against him include Felon in Possession of a Firearm and Breaking and Entering.

Deputies have been actively tracking Cable’s movements for several weeks. Their persistence paid off today, December 17, 2025, when law enforcement officers successfully captured him at approximately 3:30 p.m.

Sheriff Dougherty praised the work of the deputies and officers involved.

“I want to commend my deputies and the members of the Drug Task Force for their dedication to this case,” said Sheriff Dougherty. “By utilizing their investigative skills and modern technology, they were able to bring this individual into custody without incident. This arrest is a testament to the hard work our team puts in every day to keep Marshall County safe.”

Cable is currently being held at the West Virginia Northern Regional Jail pending his initial court appearance.
