Wheeling Heritage Invites Vendors to Apply for Spring 2026 Events

-

WHEELING, W.Va. – January 12, 2025 – Wheeling Heritage is gearing up for a lively spring season, inviting vendors to take part in two signature events that serve different audiences while highlighting local businesses and community engagement.

Vendor applications will soon open for FidoFest 2026 and the Handmade Holiday: Spring Market, two distinct events designed to attract enthusiastic crowds of pet lovers and artisan shoppers while showcasing vendors from Wheeling and the surrounding region.

FidoFest is a dog-friendly, family-friendly community celebration featuring local vendors, food trucks, live music, and entertainment for all ages. The event also includes an adoption area with local animal shelters, giving attendees the opportunity to meet pets in need of loving homes.

FidoFest will take place Saturday, May 16, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Garden Park, Warwood (1208 Warwood Ave.). The event is free and open to the public.

Vendor applications for FidoFest will be accepted January 14 through February 17, with notifications sent in early March. Vendors offering dog-friendly or dog-themed products and services are encouraged to apply. Applications are available online at wheelingheritage.org/fidofest.

“While FidoFest is intentionally focused on celebrating dogs and businesses that serve and cater to pet owners, our Spring Market provides a broader platform for makers and creatives across many disciplines,” said Riley Carpenter, Director of Programming at Wheeling Heritage. “Together, these events allow us to support a wide range of small businesses while creating engaging, welcoming experiences for the community.”

Building on the success of the popular winter market, Wheeling Heritage will host the Handmade Holiday: Spring Market on Saturday, April 25, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Wheeling Artisan Center, 1400 Main Street.

Perfectly timed for Mother’s Day and spring occasions,  the spring market offers shoppers the chance to discover unique, locally made gifts created by talented artisans and creative entrepreneurs from Wheeling and the surrounding area.

Vendor applications for the Handmade Holiday: Spring Market will be open January 19 through February 13, with applicants notified by late February. Handmade Holiday is a curated series of markets highlighting both established and emerging makers, with a mission to support small businesses and locally produced goods.
