Santorine Enters Race for W.Va. House of Delegates – District 4

-

Republican Dolph Santorine has filed for candidacy to run for the Fourth District seat in the West Virginia House of Delegates.

Santorine is a long-time resident in the Fourth District and is known for being articulate and forthright.

“I’m not shy, I’m not afraid to ask, and that’s the kind of representation that will make a difference for our community in Charleston,” Santorine explained. “You’ll also know exactly where I stand on an issue.”

A traditional Republican, Dolph has been vocal about the “Jobs First, Opportunity Everywhere” agenda.

“I’m a proven job creator, and that experience is essential when it comes to reducing the obstacles to job creation and business investment. It’s not theoretical for me. It’s something I’ve actually accomplished,” said Santorine.

Santorine has over 30 years of experience running businesses and having great fun doing so.

“I have no shortage of really good questions,” said Santorine. “I use the answers I receive to create positive action.

“We have a beautiful state with an unparalleled quality of life,” he said. “We need to start telling the world. Our population should be growing.”

Santorine believes in reducing obstacles blocking business investment, workforce training, teacher raises, and common-sense infrastructure improvements while planning for its long-term maintenance.

According to Dolph, “Maintaining our infrastructure is not an exciting topic, but it affects us every day. We have already suffered the effects with a project that took way longer than expected surrounding the tunnel, the Elm Grove Stone Arch Bridge, and now the Washington Avenue Bridge. It’s not enough to build this infrastructure – we need to plan to maintain it for today and for the future.”

Santorine and his wife of more than 40 years, Lora Kaye, have four adult children who were raised in Wheeling, the youngest of which still lives in the area. They also enjoy two grandchildren.

Dolph has been the secretary of the Ohio County Republican Executive Committee and has served on the W.Va. GOP Executive Committee. He is a 1981 Graduate of Ashland College (University) and serves as a board member on the Alumni Association.

He is an “Extra” class Amateur Radio Operator (callsign AD0LF) an active Freemason, a Trustee of the Scottish Rite Cathedral, and is active in community service organizations.

“I’m looking forward to interacting with my neighbors in the Fourth House District so we can discuss our most important issues and develop the solution together,” he said. “Working with the constituents is the most important part of the job, and it’s the part I look forward to the most.”
