(Wheeling, WV)  The Linsly School will present “Join the Party!” – the 87th annual Linsly Extravaganza at the historic Capitol Theatre on Friday, February 27, at 8:00 PM.

The theme of this year’s 87th annual performance, “Join the Party” will create a vibrant, fun and creative performance through song, dance, music and comedy for guests to enjoy.

Some highlights that guests can look forward to include acts paying tribute to one of the greatest movies of all time, the latest sports craze, and music from one of the most popular decades for hits. From our youngest fifth graders to our graduating senior class, there are funny, meaningful, energetic, and memorable routines, skits, and music that truly showcase the talents and personalities of every Linsly Cadet.

Linsly faculty member, Mrs. Erin Bond, will lead the Linsly Extravaganza as Director and Choreographer. She is joined by members of the Fine Arts Department who will assist with props, costumes, and backstage coordination.10

Bond has a BFA in Theatre Performance from The University of Mississippi and has performed in NYC, Walt Disney World, on cruise ships and in regional theatre in several cities. She has been a professional actor, director, choreographer, writer and teacher for 2 decades.

Bond also said that she is grateful for the hard work, dedication and fun times during the rehearsal process, and that she wishes to thank all of the colleagues that are part of the Extravaganza Creative Team for all of their efforts and support.

“The Extravaganza is truly a collaborative effort that involves every student and faculty member in the school to some degree,” said Bond. “It is wonderful to be part of such a supportive team of teachers and administrators.”

The Linsly Extravaganza once again promises to offer entertainment for the entire family as the curtains rise on the Capitol Theatre stage. The longest-running variety show of its kind in the Ohio Valley, the Linsly Extravaganza has become an annual tradition for generations of Linsly alumni, many of whom have children or grandchildren who will perform in their footsteps on the Capitol stage.

One of the most unique features of the Linsly Extravaganza is that every member of the student body and faculty is involved to make this show a success. From Linsly’s youngest fifth graders, who will make their Extravaganza debut Friday night, to the senior class of 2026, who will be taking their last bow on stage, the students and faculty work together to make this performance outstanding every year.
