WHEELING, W.Va.— From classic buffalo to bold, specialty flavors, Wing Fest will bring the heat to Centre Market from noon – 8 p.m., Saturday, June 13, in partnership with Wheeling Health Right for a full day of food and entertainment.
A variety of wing offerings from local restaurants will be available for sale with a required $2 sample size option to give attendees the chance to taste a wide range of flavors.
“Wing Fest is shaping up to be a signature summer event for Centre Market,” said Centre Market Manager Brooke Price. “We’re proud to partner with Wheeling Health Right to create an event that not only highlights local businesses but also gives back to the community.”
Wing Fest will also include a friendly competition judged by a panel of community members. Awards will be presented for Best Buffalo-Style Wing and Best Specialty Flavor. Winning vendors will receive plaques and 50 percent off registration for next year’s event. Additional festivities include a Kid Zone, a DJ during the day and live music in the evening. The band will be announced at a later date.
Net proceeds from the Wing Fest will be split between the Wheeling Health Right and the Centre Market Fund at the Community Foundation of the Ohio Valley.
“Wheeling Health Right is grateful to partner with Centre Market on Wing Fest. Our clinic provides community-based medical, dental, and pharmaceutical care at little or no charge, ensuring people can receive the care they need regardless of their ability to pay,” said Wheeling Health Right Executive Director Anne Ricci. “Events like this bring people together, support local businesses and help sustain affordable care for our neighbors who rely on these services.
