Ohio County, WV – A portion of Interstate 70, eastbound, will have the right lane closed, at milepost 1.23, near the Wheeling Tunnel, from 7:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., on Thursday, August 20, 2026, for a bridge inspection. The Market Street ramp will also be closed during this time. Motorists are advised to slow down, use alternate routes, and expect delays.
Alternate Routes: Use US 40 westbound or US 40 to Interstate 70 and Interstate 470.
Inclement weather or unforeseen circumstances could change the project schedule.
