Dear Doc Brown:

We wanted to offer you an overdue “Thank You” for purchasing, renovating, and cherishing the Victoria Theatre in downtown Wheeling. You’ve not only saved the venue from a vacant death, but you have treated her like a spoiled child.

We also want to “Thank You” for the holiday “Vaudeville” shows inside the Victoria like the Annual Christmas Show that’s scheduled for December 14th at 7 p.m. Performers like the “Honky Tonk Sweethearts” will take to that historic stage and spread some cheer for those smart enough to attend.

The Victoria Theatre is the oldest (1908) operating theatre in the state of West Virginia thanks to you, Doc, and it’s been used for stage performances by THE George Burns and THE Katherine Hepburn, movies like “Grease” and “Close Encounters of the Third Kind,” concerts by the folks from the real, old-school “Jamboree USA,” by you portraying “Elvis”, and by many others, too. We hear about the “good ole days” when theatres once lined the streets of downtown Wheeling, but thanks to you and your passion, we have the chance to see for ourselves how one of the great ones appeared inside and out.

Thanks again, Doc, and we’ll see YOU on the 14th at the Victoria Theatre.

Sincerely,

The Doc Brown Fan Club

(P.S. Tickets for the 14th? $15 – call 304-242-1313.)
