An OPEN LETTER to … Le’Veon Bell and Antonio Brown:

-

Dear Former Steelers:

Well, it appears you guys get the last laugh. While both of you are still in the playoffs with the Chiefs and Buccaneers, the Steelers are out after the 11-point loss to the Browns. We’re willing to bet you watched it and loved it although you both used to make us swirl with glee.

Le’Veon, you noticed the absence of a running game for a second straight season, and Antonio, you likely laughed through THE season of the dropped pass.

What you must wonder, though, is about the what-ifs. What if you two would have handled your individual situations differently? What if you guys and the Steelers had made reasonable deals? What if you were still Steelers?

Maybe you guys don’t think about those things, but the fan base does, especially after a season in which Pittsburgh raced out to an 11-0 record knowing injuries to Devon Bush and Bud Dupree marginalized a once potent defense and that the offense was one dimensional from the first snap of the season. No one within the Steeler Nation is making excuses; we’re too busy debating the futures of Ben Rothlisberger and Mike Tomlin, anyway.

But we do wonder, and we’ll continue to do so until the time arrives for us to fly once again. Think about it; what else do we have to do? Root for the Browns? Blasphemy!

Sincerely,

Put-Away Terrible Towels
