An OPEN LETTER to … The Folks with the WVDOH …

A bridge.
The date for the complete overhaul of the Monument Bridge was adjusted after Ward 6 COuncilman Dave Palmer worked with officials with the W.Va. Division of Highways.

Secretary Jimmy Wriston and District 6 Engineer Charlie Reynolds:

Thank you both for paying attention to the roadways and bridges in the Northern Panhandle and District 6, but please gentlemen, one at a time. One. At. A. Time.

See, guys, we’re a little sensitive right now to orange barrels and the sounds of jackhammers after years – YEARS! – of under-construction conditions, and we’ve been victimized by past – PAST! – leadership when they’ve restricted two interstates at the same time and one-laned National Road in a number of different spots all at the same time … plus – PLUS! – the streetscape. And all this confusion over the two bridge projects?

One. At. A. Time. … Please?

We’d appreciate it. And thank you again for all of the great work.

Sincerely,
