An OPEN LETTER to … the Wheeling Park Commission

-

Dear members of the Wheeling Park Commission:

Bravo Ladies and Gentlemen! Flashback Fridays at Wheeling Park are a hit!

The kids adore the bounce houses, the adults enjoy the live music, and the variety of food attracts all the above.

While it may be a celebration of Wheeling Park’s 95 birthday, we hope you decide to continue the events in the future because Flashback Friday is a terrific option for families. Sure, Oglebay and Wheeling parks attract folks from outside the area, but Flashback Fridays are a weekly reminder for local residents that these grounds are indeed ours to enjoy 365 days per year.

Even though that fact allows us to take Oglebay and Wheeling Park for granted at times, the additions and upgrades to both places do not go unnoticed. They also remind us that we are a lucky community to have both parks because, no matter where someone moves for whatever reasons, other areas do not offer anything comparable.

Thank you,

A Grateful Community
