Andrew Lewis Selected for EAB’s 2024 Rising Higher Education Leaders Fellowship

-

West Liberty University proudly announces that Andrew Lewis, Director of the Student Success Center, has been selected to join the 2024 EAB’s Rising Higher Education Leaders Fellowship cohort.

This six-month, cohort-based program with the national education consulting firm begins on July 9, 2024. It is designed to cultivate community, deepen expertise in critical institutional strategy issues, and provide targeted professional skills development led by EAB industry experts.

Lewis joins a group of higher education professionals who will engage in comprehensive workshops on key topics such as enrollment revenue, student experience, mental health, leadership development, and retention. Throughout the program, fellows will build a network with peers from institutions nationwide and delve into pressing challenges through a capstone project presented at the program’s conclusion.

“I am deeply honored to be selected for the EAB Rising Higher Education Leaders Fellowship,” said Lewis. “This opportunity will greatly benefit West Liberty University, our students, and our campus community. I look forward to leveraging the knowledge and skills gained from this experience to enhance our Student Success Center and support our students’ academic and personal growth.”

Since its inception, the fellowship program has had six successful cohorts, including the most recent cohort, which concluded in December 2024. It offers a robust curriculum and access to EAB’s extensive research library and experts. Each fellow is paired with a partner for idea development and feedback, often leading to collaborative projects that benefit both institutions involved.

Past capstone projects, focusing on diverse themes such as student success, budget models, and change management, have been a testament to this fellowship’s transformative power.

These projects have significantly contributed to the fellows’ professional development and successfully addressed critical challenges at their home institutions. This year’s fellows, including Andrew Lewis, are poised to continue this tradition of impactful work with their individual capstone projects, promising to bring innovative solutions to higher education’s most pressing issues.

West Liberty University blends a small-town environment with a comprehensive college experience, fostering students’ aspirations through hands-on learning, personalized support, and unique academic programs at both undergraduate and graduate levels. Learn more at westliberty.edu.
