When I first started making tailgate spreads eight-or-so years ago, crescent rolls were a staple item. Imagine any dip you like rolled up and baked into a buttery crescent roll! So good.
I’m lucky to have many good family traditions around the holidays.
I make Thanksgiving for an average of 10 family members.
Turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing,...
As much as I love taking appetizers and turning
them into dips, I think I equally love taking meaty sandwiches and turning them
into meatballs.
Before I started...
These are actually very simple and a really versatile appetizer. When I first started making these, I made them with cream cheese, crab meat a little bit of shredded mozzarella and some seasoning. I used the imitation crab meat to save on cost. The recipe I’ll share is for jalapeño popper wontons, but I really think there are a lot of different dips you could put in the wonton wrappers and they’re all going to be pretty delicious.
I’m a minimalist when it comes to ingredients. When I make five or six different dishes for tailgate spreads on Sundays, the last thing I want is a counter full of 50 ingredients.
