Belmont County Traffic Stop Leads to Felony Drug Charges

On October 2, 2026, detectives with the Sheriff’s Criminal Interdiction Unit (Ohio Organized Crime Investigations Commission) arrested James Pyle, 50, of Bridgeport, Ohio, during a routine traffic stop.

Pyle was found in possession of approximately 6 grams of suspected cocaine.

Detectives then executed a subsequent search warrant at Pyle’s residence, 67867 Crosley Rd. Bridgeport, Ohio.

During the warrant execution, detectives seized approximately 316 grams of suspected cocaine and $52,000 in suspected drug proceeds.
