Bethany College women’s basketball junior Kelsie Meintel (Moundsville, W.Va. | Cameron) and freshman Nikki Bradbury (Carroll, Ohio | Bloom-Carroll) were announced as Presidents’ Athletic Conference (PAC) Player and Rookie of the week for their performance in the opening weekend for the Bison.

Junior forward Meintel finished with 17 points and six rebounds in Bethany’s 67-49 season-opening win at newly PAC opponent Franciscan on Saturday afternoon. She shot 7-of-12 (58.3%) from the field and added a perfect 3-for-3 from the charity stripe.

Freshman guard Nikki Bradbury finished her collegiate debut with a game-high 23 points. She added five rebounds and a pair of assists. Bradbury shot 41.2% (7-of-17) from three-point range and went 8-of-18 from the field. Her seven made three-pointers were one shy of tying the program record.

The Bison head on the road for a PAC contest against Westminster College on Saturday, January, 30. Tipoff is set for 1:30 pm.
