Boo at the Zoo Returns to Oglebay with a Month of Spooky Family Fun

-

WHEELING, WV – Costumes, candy, and creatures of the wild—fall in the Ohio Valley wouldn’t be complete without Boo at the Zoo, the Oglebay Good Zoo’s beloved Halloween tradition. Presented by Ohio Valley Dairy Queens and Hartley Law Group, PLLC, the family-friendly fundraiser kicks off Friday, October 3, and continues every weekend in October.

From themed treat stations to festive rides, the Good Zoo will transform into a glowing wonderland of Halloween magic. Kids ages 3–12 are encouraged to dress in costume, bring their treat bags, and enjoy safe trick-or-treating along the zoo’s decorated outdoor path. The fun doesn’t stop there—families can hop aboard the spooky train ride or bounce the day away on the Jumbo Jumper™ Air Pillow.

Event Hours:

  • Fridays: 5–8 p.m.
  • Saturdays & Sundays: 11 a.m.–8 p.m.

The zoo’s pathways will come alive with whimsical decorations thanks to the support of community partners including Fort Henry Capital, Hartley Law Group, Kelly Mummert, Panhandle Cleaning & Restoration, Raina Burke & Jeremy West, MLPX, WesBanco, Wheeling Country Day School, and the Wheeling Hospital Auxiliary.

“Families love Boo at the Zoo because it’s more than trick-or-treating—it’s a way to connect with animals and celebrate fall together,” added Dean Hartley of Hartley Law Group, PLLC. “We’re proud to support such a meaningful community event.”

Proceeds benefit the care and conservation of the animals at the Good Zoo, making every ticket purchase a treat for both families and wildlife.
