The City of Martins Ferry will soon begin assuming operating control over the rec center. Village Council approved funding to get the ball rolling for upgrades and facility improvements. Grants are being applied for, donations are being received, and Mayor John Davies is on a mission to greatly expand the recreational and community opportunities for Ferry residents, and beyond.

This year, the company has selected the book Someone Builds the Dream, by Lisa Wheeler, for the program.

Eighty West Virginia artists were selected for the exhibit, which features 110 pieces, including painting, drawing, mixed media, craft, photography, digital art, sculpture and print.

The organization has donated to many local organizations for many years.
