Beginning on Saturday, February 25th, from 10:00 am to 11:30 am the Ohio County Family Support Center is excited to announce its newest program, Circle of Parents! Held on the fourth Saturday of every month, this FREE parent support group will focus on a variety of topics for parents while their children participate in separate simultaneous activities.

The group is for Ohio County parents of children ages 6-10 years old. In February, parents can work on setting simple attainable goals while their kids participate in winter-themed activities.

Circle of Parents’ vision is a world where all caregivers have the knowledge, skills, and support to raise strong, resilient, and happy children. Circle of Parents provides a friendly, supportive environment guided by trained facilitators, but led by parents and other caregivers. It’s a space where anyone in a parenting role can openly discuss the successes and challenges of raising children. As well as a place where support can be found and shared, all while their children enjoy a program made just for them! Circle of Parents fosters an open exchange of ideas, support, information, and resources.

The Ohio County Family Support Center, a new program with the Ohio County Family Resource Network, provides a safe and convenient location where families can receive or be referred to community-based support and services. The center is newly renovated and located at 141 Key Avenue A, in Elm Grove directly behind St. John’s Home for Children.

Any parent in Ohio County with a child(ren) 6-10 years old is invited to attend Circle of Parents, free of charge. Please RSVP by February 20th by calling (304) 905-0205.
