Circus Saints And Sinners Donates $25K To WVU Medicine Children’s

-

Officials from the Circus Saints and Sinners Party on the Plaza Music and Food Festival and major sponsors presented a ceremonial check of $25,000 to WVU Medicine Children’s on Tuesday. To date, the festival has raised over $100,000 for the hospital in Morgantown.

Bob Contraguerro, Jr. of presenting sponsor Panhandle Cleaning and Restoration said the event supports vital specialty health services for women and children in the region.

“We, along with the Circus Saints and Sinners, are very pleased to present these funds for such a worthy cause,” said Contraguerro. “When children and families from the Wheeling area, and the entire region, need specialized maternal, infant and pediatric care, a great many of them choose WVU Medicine Children’s hospital. And now, with the announcement of the forthcoming affiliated children’s outpatient clinic at WVU Medicine Wheeling Hospital, many of those services will be even more convenient for people in our community.”

Party on the Plaza Chairman Paul Smith said the music festival, held annually on the second Saturday in July, has rapidly grown in popularity due to the atmosphere created by high-energy musical performers and a variety of food offerings.

“Now entering our 5th year, the Party on the Plaza has fast become one of the most anticipated and popular events of the summer,” Smith said. “We pack around 1,000 people on the Market Plaza who enjoy great local food trucks, ice-cold adult beverages and all-day live music. We intentionally book only the best dance/party bands from around the region to create an unforgettable and upbeat vibe that keeps the party going from beginning to end.”
