WHEELING. W.VA. – City Manager Robert Herron has announced Wheeling resident Madison Seavy as the City of Wheeling’s new Centre Market Manager.
Herron said Seavy’s background and experience make her well suited for the position and will bring valuable perspective to Centre Market.
“Madison brings a strong combination of professional experience, community involvement and a genuine connection to Wheeling,” Herron said. “I’m confident she will build on the momentum at Centre Market and continue creating opportunities for the businesses, residents and visitors who make the Market such a special part of our community.”
Seavy, a graduate of West Virginia University with a degree in business administration/marketing, said she is excited to take on the new role and work alongside the Centre Market business community.
“I’m thrilled to join the City of Wheeling as the new Centre Market Manager. In my professional experience, I’ve seen firsthand how much this community thrives when people come together. I can’t wait to bring that same energy to Centre Market through supporting our vendors, welcoming visitors and helping this historic market continue to grow,” Seavy said.
Prior to joining the City of Wheeling, Seavy was the associate director of the United Way of the Upper Ohio Valley, where she managed communication efforts for the nonprofit agency. She also played a key role in planning and executing community events and fundraising campaigns.
Outside of her professional responsibilities, Seavy is as an assistant varsity girls basketball coach and head junior varsity girls basketball coach at Wheeling Central Catholic High School. She also serves on several committees throughout the Ohio Valley.
