Event: Community Impact Coalition Quarterly Meeting
Date: July 7, 2021
Time: 12:30pm – 2:00pm
Location: Christ United Methodist Church- 1232 National Rd. Wheeling, WV
The upcoming Quarterly Community Impact Coalition meeting will be a HYBRID meeting. Those comfortable meeting in-person, are welcomed to attend at Christ United Methodist Church in the fellowship hall, masks encouraged. Others may join via Zoom.
The coalition is renewing its commitment to lowering substance use rates in Ohio County. Impact has invited local key leaders from the community to attend and take part in a Community Mapping of Wheeling and Ohio County. This is a high priority as many things have changed over the past year. The coalition wants to reassess community needs and update the county plan to make the most of our resources moving forward. We welcome help from the community members at large as well as key stakeholders. Anyone working or living in Ohio County can help improve our efforts and strategies. As we look to reinvigorate the coalition in a post COVID world, having folks attend in-person or via zoom will be greatly beneficial.
Community Assessment can:
1. Establish priorities
2. Diagnose root causes
3. Locate resources for action
4. Name and frame priority issues
5. Determine the coalition’s strategic role
