This applies to both graduate and undergraduate students. The only exception would be in the case of a student who is not physically present on campus during the Fall semester.
In order to reduce the number of students waiting for on-campus testing, WLU recommends that as many as possible get tested for COVID-19 prior to classes beginning on Aug. 15 (Highlands Campus) or Aug. 17 (Main Campus).
Students should contact their primary care physician or local health department in regards to COVID-19 testing.
The testing must be done no more than 14 days prior to classes beginning on Aug. 17 or 14 days prior to the student coming to campus, thus it should not be a test result from on or before Aug. 1.
Students who are unable to be tested must complete an online form found here. These students will become part of the FREE on-campus testing program, expected to be coordinated by Wheeling-Ohio County Health Department beginning Aug. 12. However, if students want to be tested privately, it will allow them to avoid the lines.

Student COVID-19 test results must be uploaded electronically to the Student Health Portal. If a student hasn’t yet registered for the Student Health Portal, they should do so using their WLU student email address and student ID.
Once registration is complete, students will need to log-in, and click on Document Upload. A picture of the COVID-19 test results can then be uploaded. (The correct category, positive or negative, should be selected when uploading results.)
In the Event of a Positive Test …
All students submitting positive test results must also report results on a second form found here.
The privacy of students with positive results will be protected, with only select campus administrators notified for necessary follow-up.
Students who receive a positive test result should follow the guidance of their health care provider regarding isolation and refrain from coming to campus until cleared by health officials.
