Crittenton Services invites the community to celebrate Mother’s Day weekend by participating in their 2023 Mountain Mama Mother’s Day Walk/Run. This fundraising event will be held the day before Mother’s Day at Oglebay Park’s Schenk Lake area on Saturday, May 13, 2023, from 10 a.m. to noon, and include fun activities for mothers and families of all ages to enjoy!

The 2023 Mountain Mama Mother’s Day Walk/Run will have multiple paved paths for families of all activity levels, or for those with strollers. There will also be raffle prizes, face painting, snacks and refreshments, and local food trucks.

“This event provides a great opportunity to support the mental health of West Virginia mothers, while also celebrating the mothers in our lives,” said Crittenton’s Director of Marketing and Development Jasmin Ilovar. All proceeds from the 2023 Mountain Mama Mother’s Day Walk/Run will benefit the young girls, mothers, and babies that Crittenton serves through its residential and community-based programs.

Registered participants will receive a commemorative t-shirt, pin, and a small gift for mom at the finish line. Regular registration is $35, and the Mother’s Dedication registration is $45. Children 4-12 years of age are $17.50. Ages 0-3 are free. The Mother’s Dedication registration includes a yard sign (with a photo and message) dedicated to mom that is posted on the trail of their choosing. Participants can register at www.crittentonwv.org/mountain-mama-2023.

The 2023 Mountain Mama Mother’s Day Walk/Run is made possible by the generous support of community sponsors: West Virginia Kids Count, The Glessner Group, Riverbridge Financial, Garry L. Lewis DDS, Kalkreuth Roofing and Sheet Metal, Klug Brothers, Inc, Bayer Heritage Federal Credit Union, Gompers Pharmacy and Raymond James.
