Decorate – Go Ahead – For Christmas

-

Start with hanging a wreath on the front door.

And then see where it leads.

You will smile and remember a time before we had to worry about visiting our grandparents or parents, or sending our children to their school, or to shop for the Better Cheddars in the cracker aisle. Last Christmas, we didn’t worry about sharing a glass of eggnog or kissing under the mistletoe, and with each angel or reindeer or Elf on a Shelf you may place in your home this week, the better the chance you’ll begin humming the carols.

Change the bed linens and comforters, the throw pillows on the couch, the plates in the china cabinet, and the towels in the powder room. And remember, tinsel makes everything glimmer and who doesn’t need some of THAT right now?

Take the tour through Oglebay’s Festival of Lights, too, even if you can’t afford the $25 requested donation (they really don’t care) so the family can slowly flow and see some beautiful lighting displays that will cause those holiday hums, as well.

It’s beginning to look a lot like …

Seriously, why not? Especially this damn year.
