We are happy to share a Christmas message with you today that Bishop Mark Brennan, of the Diocese of Wheeling-Charleston shared with his faithful Monday morning: https://youtu.be/LG4ImGP97QE (it can also be viewed on our website at: https://dwc.org).
Feel free to use the attached news release that describes a few of the people involved, or simply enjoy the link yourself as a thank you from us for all you do to help the diocese in our mission to strengthen the faithful and move all West Virginians forward in faith and service as Jesus taught us.
By the way, yes, it is him playing the piano in the message. Walk by the Cathedral of St. Joseph rectory on any given evening or weekend and you may be treated to a melody or two.
The following is the message that was sent with the clip to the DWC faithful:
In a year filled with uncertainty, there is one thing that will always be certain—Jesus Christ, the Son of God, is the Savior of the world. While we cannot be together as we normally would this Christmas, it is that faith in Jesus Christ that unites us.
On behalf of Bishop Mark Brennan and more than 40 talented musicians and singers from parishes across the Mountain State, the Diocese of Wheeling-Charleston presents to you a Christmas message to warm your heart and lift your spirits.
We hope that this collaboration from throughout the Diocese brings you joy, as together we sing Hallelujah!
