Ohio County Schools Robotics is wrapping up their 4th season, and the middle school program is planning to compete in the final tournament of their year. Scheduled for 3/1 at West Virginia Northern Community College, this tournament will see multiple middle school teams from all over the state go head to head for top robotics prizes.
“Our middle school programs recently developed a league, and this is their third and final competition of the season culminating in this Saturday’s championship,” states JoJo Shay, Innovation Coordinator for Ohio County Schools.
“This tournament is a great opportunity for students to showcase their problem-solving skills, creativity, and teamwork,” said Curt Hippensteel, Applied Technology Division Chair at WVNCC. “We are excited to host these young innovators on our campus and support STEM education in our community.”
Ohio County Schools currently has multiple middle school teams representing each middle school in the county with nearly 40 members.
All VEX Robotics events are free. The school system encourages the community to stop by starting at 9 A.M. and see #InnovationinOCS in action.
