Garrison Wolfe: ‘It’s an Adventure Every Day’

-

He’s an American veteran, loves the real estate industry, appreciates the diversity in the Wheeling area, and is wise enough to remain apolitical as often as possible.

That’s the “nutshell” bio on 24-year-old Garrison Wolfe, but it’s likely you know much more about the young man already.

That’s because Garrison is not shy; he’s a terrific self-promoter, and he’s been as active as anyone when it comes to events connected to the community and to the Wheeling Area Chamber of Commerce. Wolfe is an East Ohio native who has been an entrepreneur since becoming the co-founder of Exverience: VR Arcade a couple of years ago, but these days he’s been concentrating mostly on his real estate position with RE/MAX Broadwater in Wheeling.

Garrison has his “Team WolfePack” of local realtors, he works closely with RE/MAX broker Travis Broadwater, and he’s unafraid of any professional challenge he encounters. In fact, as he announced on his social media, Wolfe closed a $3.2 million deal on March 28th that allowed him to wipe out all accumulated debt.

So, he fought for it, he’s worked for it, and now he’s experienced his first real taste of the American dream.

A military man.
Wolfe is an American veteran and a native of Powhatan Point in Belmont County.

What were the biggest life lessons you learned as a member of the American military?

Biggest life lessons I’ve learned in the military would absolutely be to push yourself through adversities. I’ve learned how to be disciplined, I’ve learned attention to details, how to be a good leader in situations.

And most importantly, how to never give up on yourself. You have one life in the world. And you owe it to yourself to be better than you were yesterday, even by 1%!

Why real estate?

I’ve always been a salesperson by heart.

From elementary school to high school. If there were a fundraiser, I’d be there. And if not only do good, but I was always at the top. There were times I would get out of school, throw my backpack on the porch, and go door to door to sell. Plus, the satisfaction of helping families enter a new chapter in their lives of this magnitude brings a certain kind of satisfaction.

I get to meet so many kinds of people, it’s an adventure every day. I’m one of, if not the only one, who still door knocks. I find it so calming to explore these beautiful neighborhoods and meet them face to face. Plus, the biggest thing of all, I get to do these amazing community events I put together.

I get to see people smile and give them things that can be paramount in their life. I wouldn’t be here without my community, so it only makes sense to give back.

A man.
He’s been successful in the real estate business and even announced a few weeks ago that he secured a sale worth more than $3 million.

If and when asked, how do you explain the people in the Wheeling area?

I would definitely explain the people in the Wheeling area as a melting pot, to put it best. There are so many people from different backgrounds, and I love it. I’ve lived across multiple states in my life, so to see pretty much all walks here in Wheeling is beautiful.

The people here can be kind, enthusiastic, and from what I’ve experienced, VERY supportive.

When you pay attention to politics, what issues are most important to you and why?

When it comes to politics, I’m not too leaning on either side quite frankly. At the end of the day, my goals are for the fairness, safety, and quality of my people. Each side has its own pros and cons. But the same goals overall are what my goals are.

A man working out.
Wolfe stays in shape, that’s for sure, but his favorite outdoor activity might surprise them.

What is your favorite outdoor fitness training activity, and why?

I enjoy taking my dogs for a walk. It’s a sense of calm in the world full of noise to walk with them in Oglebay. I love playing football and baseball, but most importantly, to me, the outdoors are my puppies and giving them the best lives.
