Wheeling, W Va. – The Northern Panhandle Harm Reduction & Recovery Alliance and the Ohio County Family Resource Network are partnering to bring the Northern Panhandle Harm Reduction Summit. The Summit is focused on expanding harm reduction strategies and best practices to mitigate public health issues caused by substance use in the Northern Panhandle. Our primary goal is to bring new and innovative information to those in a position to make our communities healthier and happier by implementing new effective strategies. The Harm Reduction Alliance is funded by a State Opioid Response grant held by Youth Services System Inc.

Welcome: 8:30 AM
Session 1: 8:45 – 10:15 am – Comprehensive Health Framework for People Who Use Drugs, WV Drug Intervention Institute
Session 2: 10:30 – Noon – Changing Course with Innovative Harm Reduction and QRT Strategies, Connie Priddy, Compliance Officer, Cabell County EMS and Huntington QRT Coordinator
Lunch Break: Noon – 1 (lunch provided)
Session 3: 1pm – 3pm – Harm Reduction for 2022 – Prevention Point Pittsburgh
Session 4: 3pm – 4:15pm – Moving Forward: Next Steps for the Northern Panhandle, Martha Polinsky, Office of Drug Control Policy Region 1; Claudia Raymer Executive Director Ohio County Family Resource Network
Who should attend? Anyone working in the fields of behavioral health, public health, substance use prevention, intervention, treatment or recovery, and anyone interested in planning and implementation of harm reduction programming in the Northern Panhandle of West Virginia.
Cost: $20 Includes lunch; CEUs pending for: Social work, Licensed Professional Counseling, Addiction & Prevention (must attend entire summit to receive CEUs)
