Ham and Cheese Hawaiian Crescent Rolls
As it turns out, I talk to myself at the grocery store sometimes. Don’t judge. I have lots to contemplate while grocery shopping! Sales/budget, expiration dates, meals, etc. Sometimes I’m sorting through my cupboards in my mind trying to “see” what I have and what I need to make certain meals for the week. It needs a conversation … even if it’s with myself! At least now that I’m wearing masks, no one can see me talking to food and think I’m crazy. Ha!
I was looking for something that would survive boating on the river for several hours. While browsing the shelves at the grocery store, I stumbled across Hawaiian Roll Crescent Rolls. I said out loud, but softly, “Yeah, you’re getting ham and cheese.” Put them in my cart and carried on with my trip.
My kids really love Hawaiian rolls. The sweetness is delicious, and they are a perfect roll for sliders.
Being able to get that sweetness combined with the buttery and crispness of the crescent roll was a home run with my boating friends. I also hear the leftovers were perfect for breakfast.
If you can’t find the Hawaiian ones, I’ve made these with regular crescents and they are good that way, as well. If you want the sweetness, grab the Hawaiian rolls and make the sliders the same way. I use a sweeter deli ham for these but grab what you like!
Ingredients:
- Hawaiian Crescent Rolls
- Slice deli Ham
- Shredded Cheddar Cheese
- (If you’re cooking for mustard fans, honey mustard would be great on these.)
Directions:
- Lay out the crescents and layer them with the ham and cheese.
- Roll them up.
- Bake on 375 for 12 minutes.
Enjoy!
