Ohio County, WV – A portion of Interstate 70 eastbound will have the left lane closed in the Wheeling Tunnel from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 1, 2026, for tunnel maintenance.
The Market Street ramp will also be closed during this time. Motorists are advised to slow down, use alternate routes, and expect delays.
Alternate Routes: Use US 40 westbound or US 40 to Interstate 70 and Interstate 470.
Inclement weather or unforeseen circumstances could change the project schedule.
