(Publisher’s Note: Pizzaz. She has pizzaz. And yes, pronounce it with the appropriate accent because it’s different than “style,” mind you, because Jayla is not afraid to create, or be the first, or to dare to bring it back. Most importantly, of course, is that she’s a terrific mother, wife, AND community member who knows how to blend fun with a level of seriousness that allows her to be one of the top real estate sellers for Paull Associates. Oh, and let’s not forget about her Christmas break lucky discoveries … a 6-leaf clover AND a five-leaf clover. … Who does that?”)
Red. Or really red. And then – WOW!! – blue!
Blue? We still talking lipstick here?
Yup. And green, too. Oh yeah, of course. St. Patrick’s Day.
Fitting … as she always is.
The thing, though, with Jayla Robinson, is she doesn’t wear different colors of lipstick because she’s trying to attract attention. She does it for us.
Wait. What? Us?
That’s correct, and it’s because this quirky mother of three wants us to smile for a change. Robinson is a local realtor with Paull & Associates and she’s also the firm’s social media director, but that’s only scratching the surface as far as a “day in a life” account. Along with the children, there are the showings, the open houses, the “Ask Yourself Why Not” podcast, and her husband, Wheeling attorney Brent Robinson, only to name a few.
And that’s the way she prefers, too. It’s OK with her for her life to appear as a fly-by-the-seat-of-her-pants existence because, frankly, it’s very seldom truly that way. Robinson usually creates her own whirlwind, and she’s often nice enough to invite us along for the ride.
From what people can see from social media, you seem always willing to help others.
Why not? I am blessed to be surrounded by people always wanting to join forces and help others! The same people who would do anything to help me. I believe it’s a ripple effect. Even the smallest act of kindness can spread infinite! I’m always open to be involved no matter how small or big! It all matters.
What do your kids enjoy the most about growing up in Wheeling?
Their peers, school, and opportunities! Everything they are involved in, we have extended ‘families’! Rather it be on the baseball field, at a dance competition, or a school event! They may not realize how fortunate they are but they will one day!
Lipstick – what colors do you wear … and when?
My signature color may be BLUE! I love a good, bold lipstick! I like to be very expressive in my outfits — lipstick included! Lipstick is like jewelry! It can be a statement necklace or a light supportive accessory. Depending on my energy level that day, my lipstick may take suit! Lol blue for LOTS of energy!
What are the best parts about being a realtor in the Wheeling area?
Connecting to people on all different levels by helping them! I love building relationships. Small talk is nice, but you really get to spend a lot of time talking and getting to know people. You learn about their childhoods, their family, their hobbies, and everything in between!
There are a lot of REALLY cool people in and moving to the valley! Added bonus is that I am from the Ohio Valley and LOVE IT! Easy to sell what you genuinely love!
When you read, what do you read?
Oh! I’m a reader! I’m usually reading more than one book at a time! One for when I can really dive deep and focus but another when I need more of a light read.
I love self-improvement books! Anything to make you feel good! I am currently reading Lewis Howes’ “The Greatness Mindset: Unlock the Power of Your Mind and Live Your Best Life Today” and Napoleon Hill’s “Think and Grow Rich.”
